Job overview
We are looking for motivated individuals to join our Facilities Services Team as a Facilities Assistant - domestic at Sherwood Oaks Hospital, who are responsible for all our patient and non patient areas.
Previous experience of working within a Domestic, Cleaning, Catering environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
Main duties of the job
The vacancy is 25.67 hour , working 5/7 including weekends and bank holidays, hours to be discussed at interview.
The ability to work effectively and flexibly, both alone and as part of a team, maintaining a high standard of work will be essential.

- An understanding of cleanliness and good hygiene practices.
- Understanding of a small number of routine work procedures developed through on the job training / experience.
- Level 2 Food Safety Certificate or to work towards within the 12 months of employment (site specific).

Experience
