Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Senior Assistant Technical Officer to join the Pharmacy Production team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) . You will be working alongside a supportive team of pharmacists, technicians, senior assistant technical officers and scientists in a pharmaceutical cleanroom environment.
The position is a permanent. Full time or part time hours will be considered.
The Pharmacy Production department at NUH has four manufacturing areas. The Sterile Production Unit (SPU), Non-Sterile Manufacturing Unit (NSM) and Pharmacy Packing Unit (PPU) are based at the MHRA licensed facility at the Queens Medical Centre (QMC) campus. The Cytotoxic Chemotherapy Production Unit (Cytolab) is located at the City Hospital Campus. The post holder will be primarily based in the Non-Sterile Manufacturing Unit.
Main duties of the job
Full training will be provided to support you to assemble and manufacture non-sterile medicines including solutions, suspensions, creams, ointments and other dosage forms for patients at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) and for sale and supply to external customers.
