Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour - £24,638 per annum.

This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2025/26 is confirmed.

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dental Health Support Worker to join the Designed to Smile Team in Newtown. 12 months, fixed term.

The post holder will work closely with Schools and Nurseries to establish and maintain links to enable the delivery of the Designed to Smile Programme.

The post is term time only, 3 days of 6.5 hours per day.

Ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role. 

Main duties of the job

The role involves driving to settings, delivery of supplies and engaging with setting staff, alongside working with the team to deliver and monitor the programme.  The programme is funded by the Welsh Government and you will take an active part in monitoring stock levels, as well as collecting and monitoring data.

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE grade C or Essential Skills literacy / numeracy L2
  • Computer literate and experience of using Microsoft packages
  • Ability to organise and collate data
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ 2 Nutrition related qualification
  • First Aid at work

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Eperience of working in a team, or on own initiative
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working with and liaising with a variety of people ranging from children to adults

  • Previous experience in Healthcare
