We are looking for a Domestic Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff. Working as part of our team, you will carry out cleaning duties across clinical and non-clinical areas, follow infection prevention and control standards, use cleaning equipment safely, maintain cleaning records and support the delivery of a high-quality domestic service.
 

You will be self-motivated and be able to work both independently and as part of a team, maintaining the current high standards to provide an excellent service for patient care and provision of meals, for a 7-day service.

Main duties of the job

To perform domestic duties e.g. mopping, dusting, hovering in all parts of the hospital or other Trust establishments and surrounding areas as required.

To maintain the required standard of cleaning service using the correct procedures and frequencies. 

Clean some non-medical electrical equipment i.e. televisions. 

Flush all water outlets on a daily basis and record when completed.

 Ensure the correct use of mechanical cleaning equipment including floor polisher.

 Ensure own cleaning stock is maintained.  

 Complete cleaning schedules on a daily basis.
