Employer heading
Maintenance Technician: Mechanical
NHS AfC: Band 5
Job overview
The RUH Estates Department is seeking a mechanically biased Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic and forward‑thinking Operational Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to contribute to the safe and effective operation of a busy healthcare environment.
You’ll play a key role in delivering planned and reactive maintenance services, supporting the smooth running of essential hospital infrastructure. Applicants should have a good understanding of Estates Maintenance functions, with relevant experience in areas such as water systems, heating, steam, HVAC, and ideally exposure to Building Management Systems (BMS). Previous experience within a healthcare or similarly complex environment would be an advantage.
We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a positive and proactive approach, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills. You’ll be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative Estates team, taking pride in delivering a high‑quality service that supports patient care.
