27 hrs per week ,over 4 days, working days Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, inc. Bank Holidays).Hours vary from 07.00am to 2.30pm.
We're looking for Domestic Assistants to help keep our hospital spaces clean, fresh, and welcoming. You'll help ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors by using modern cleaning methods and equipment across different areas including bathrooms, floors, carpets, and surfaces.
About You: You're someone who takes pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming spaces. You'll have experience working in a domestic role or a public-facing environment, and you'll be detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a supportive team. You bring a positive attitude and a commitment to high standards.

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

Clean and sanitise floors, surfaces, and high-touch areas in patient rooms and communal spaces.

Launder and replenish linens, including curtains, bed linen, and patient clothing.

Maintain cleanliness of toilets, sinks, baths, and other high surfaces, plus carpets and internal glass.

Manage waste disposal, replenish consumables, and monitor stock levels.

Help with food service and ensure storage and care of cleaning equipment.

Report faults, follow safety guidelines, and participate in required training (e.g., fire safety, manual handling).

Essential criteria
- GCSE level education or functional skills, or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- Basic Food Hygiene
- NVQ level 1&2 in Cleaning Sciences or equivalent
Experience

- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks appropriately
