Job overview

The Delivery Suite Coordinator and Flow Co-ordinator will lead and facilitate innovative and evidence based midwifery practice through professional leadership and supporting the clinical team by motivating staff, articulating vision and encouraging creativity within maternity services. The Midwife Coordinator will liaise with all members of the multidisciplinary team and facilitate a collaborative approach to patient care.

Main duties of the job

A Delivery Suite Co-ordinator is a highly visible leader who is accessible to women, visitors and staff. They are required to provide a leadership role model and demonstrate expert knowledge and high standards of clinical practice. Maintain expert skills and knowledge in clinical midwifery practice. 

 

Co-ordinate the provision of midwifery services effectively liaising with multidisciplinary and multi-agency colleagues. Organise own work, identifying and maintaining supportive networks for self and other staff members.

  • Full UK NMC Midwifery Pin
Desirable criteria
  • Recognised Maternal Critical Care Qualification
  • NLS Resuscitation council Course
  • Leadership or Mentorship Course

Experience

Essential criteria
  • 5 years experience as Band 6 Midwife in UK Maternity Services
Desirable criteria
  • Datix experience
