The department provides both an inpatient, outpatient and day case Sleep & Ventilation Service, Interstitial Lung Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma, Lung Cancer, Pleural Procedures and General Respiratory services across both our sites.

The Respiratory Department consists of 4 Respiratory Wards with 119 inpatient beds, including a 26 bedded Acute Lung Unit with 16 NIV beds, 2 Respiratory Physiology Departments over 2 sites offering a range of lung function tests. A Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Respiratory and General Medicine is required.

The successful candidate will complement the expertise of the 21 Respiratory Consultants, 10 SpRs and 31 Clinical Nurse Specialists, working across the sub-specialities. The department provides both an inpatient, outpatient and day case Sleep & Ventilation Service,

Interstitial Lung Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma, Lung Cancer, Pleural Procedures and General Respiratory services across both our sites.
