Job overview
University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship this role. We are looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker to join our dynamic and friendly team and provide safe and supportive care to patients, relatives and their loved ones. In this post you would be responsible for providing fundamental elements of patient care as directed by the qualified nursing/midwifery team to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of dignified and respectful care, in accordance with their care plans. We are looking for people who are compassionate and feel passionately about providing a level of care they would wish for their family and friends.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant who fulfils the essential qualifications/skills on the person specification/job description will be offered a Band 2 Nursing Assistant substantive post.
The successful applicant will either be based at Royal Stoke University Hospital. Although cross site working at our County Hospital in Stafford may be required occasionally.
As provision of care is a 24 hours, 7 days a week career, you will be required to work shifts, including nights, weekends and bank holidays. Enhancements will be paid for unsocial hours.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Evidence of good numeracy and literacy
Desirable criteria
- Minimum of 6 months care experience
- NVQ level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care
- NVQ level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
- Functional Skills Level 2 or Grade C/4 or above in GCSE Maths & English
Knowlege, skills &experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience in a care setting
- Demonstration of a willingness to learn and develop
- Effective communication skills
Desirable criteria
- Experience in an Acute Hospital setting
- Previous 6 months care experience in the past 3 years
