Job overview
JOB PURPOSE:
To work within the existing Diabetes inpatient team, improving the care for people with diabetes who are admitted to hospital. Facilitating safe discharge is a key component of the role. Reviewing patients at the earliest opportunity when they arrive in Emergency Dept or the Emergency Admissions Unit.

- NMC Registration Level 1
- Demonstration of personal and professional development
- Evidence of academic pathway towards a degree
Desirable criteria
- A recognised Diabetes Course
- Preparing for mentorship course
Experience and knowledge
Essential criteria
- Proven post registration experience
- Able to demonstrate a wide knowledge of current trends in nursing and application to practice
- Proven experience at Band 5
- Experience of developing, training and education in clinical practice
- Experience in multidisciplinary working
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of audit experience
- Experience of implementing Service Improvement
