An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and proactive professional to join our team in a Band 6 permanent, full-time role.
The post will be primarily based at the Archipelago offices, conveniently located approximately 10 minutes’ walk from Frimley Park Hospital. This is a cross-site role, supporting services across all three Trust sites, with Archipelago as the main base.
The role includes direct line management responsibilities and offers the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will build strong professional relationships both within the Trust and with external partners, playing an important role in supporting effective operational and commercial collaboration.

Main duties of the job
- The Procurement Improvement and Compliance Manager will be the departmental lead for ensuring compliance with existing processes, driving out inefficiencies and identifying opportunities for improvement, the post holder will report to the Transactional Procurement Manager and line manage 3 buying roles.
- The post holder will provide leadership for developing and implementing strategies and policies and will be the Internal marketing and champion for the Procurement Department, ensuring compliance with the Procurement Policy and Trust SFIs across the organisational on including correct and appropriate use of the Trust’s Procurement systems and Trust purchasing/credit card.
- The post holder will foster highly professional and responsive service providing high quality advice and support to stakeholders on a range of regulatory compliance managers and advice on and work with senior management team to devise processes aimed at continuously improving performance which bring added value to the benefit of the department and the Trust.
- The post holder will support the department to obtain and maintain Level 2 Standards of Procurement and will assist with colla ng, validating and reporting on Departmental KPI’s ensuring agreed Procurement processes adopted and monitored across the organisation on with evidence of high-level compliance.

Essential criteria
- Advanced Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or similar appropriate professional institute or relevant experience
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Evidence of having undertaken purchasing procedures workshops.
- Evidence of having additional specialist courses.
Desirable criteria
- Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS)
- Project Management PRINCE 2.
Skills and knowledge
Essential criteria
- Working knowledge of Atamis and EPROC systems.
- Able to work on a number of projects or pieces of work simultaneously and deliver to agreed deadlines, despite likely conflicting pressures from various stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of BI4 reporting tools
Desirable criteria
- Developed Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable advanced IT skills including specialist software for contract management e-tendering, mathematical, logical formulas and to generate accurate charts/graphs.
- Experience at a procurement management level.
- Extensive hands-on experience of current EU procurement directives and UK legislation.
- Experience in people management.
- Experience of purchasing.
