Lead Cystic Fibrosis Pharmacist

Band 7-8A

Job overview

Job Overview:

This is a very exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and aspiring clinical pharmacist interested in Respiratory medicine to work towards and become the Lead Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Pharmacist post at Frimley Park Hospital.

The post holder will work closely with the CF team, as well as colleagues in the ICS and region.

The CF clinical speciality involves a complex / high risk patient population to who optimising patient care with respect to medicines is essential. This role will involve the delivery of clinical pharmacy services to the inpatient and outpatient CF patients, clinics and homecare.

The Trust has recently started using the new electronic patient record system EPIC, so the post holder will have the opportunity to review ways of working and work with the MDT team to improve processes and patients’ outcomes.

Main duties of the job

We are offering a full time post for the Lead Cystic Fibrosis Pharmacist role. The role involves managing the CF Pharmacy service, and developing its delivery with the new EPIC EPR system. You will also be expected to develop links with the Regional services, and into the wider ICS. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a Respiratory background who is interested in developing their CF skills, whilst being supported by both Medical & Pharmacy teams.
