Job overview

Are you enthusiastic, conscientious and flexible? Do you take pride in your work and love working with people? Do you enjoy a challenge?  If so, we are looking for reliable and flexible people to join our friendly team.

A Phlebotomist is an integral part of the pathology team; you will be providing a valuable service throughout the hospital, taking blood samples from hospital in-patients, out-patients and community outreach services.

You must be able to work responsibly, following protocols and procedures, and have the ability to work on your own initiative.  There is a lot of walking, standing and bending involved, therefore a degree of fitness is essential. Experience is not essential, as full training is provided; however, we would like you to have had recent healthcare or customer service experience. This position is a band 2, with potential to progress into a band 3 post once training and experience has been gained.

Applicants should have use of a reliable car as some work is based at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust community sites.
