Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly administrator to join us in Radiology. You will be a member of the administrative and clerical team, supporting the Interventional Radiology (IR) and Breast Imaging services for the Radiology Department.
You will be responsible for ensuring that appointments are booked in a timely manner and in line with patient pathways and government targets. You will be a key member of the IR and breast team, liaising with other members of the team, patients, carers and other hospital personnel.
As part of the IR and breast team you will provide a high quality service to patients, visitors and colleagues. Your role will also include answering telephone queries and providing information and advice as appropriate. You will collate relevant information in preparation for appointments and procedures, liaising with the admissions office and anaesthetic department. You will deal with incoming correspondence and as part of the team ensuring patients are prioritised in accordance with clinical need, assisting in managing urgent results and ensuring they are sent to the relevant referrers in a timely manner.
You will be required to have good organisational and communication skills. Previous healthcare experience is desirable, in-house training will be given to support you develop into this role.

To work as part of the IR and breast team; providing a high quality service to patients, visitors and colleagues within the Imaging department. Register new patients on the hospital administration system and enter all patients onto the radiology system. Book patients appointments for Interventional and breast procedures in line with the relevant booking rules.
