An opportunity has arisen to join the Catering Department at East Surrey Hospital. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated team player with a flexible approach to work and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

This role is based within our busy catering operation, where we prepare and serve meals to more than 750 patients three times a day, as well as support service in the Three Arches Restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing food and serving customers in both patient and retail areas.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Ensuring effective stock rotation and assisting with stock replenishment.
  • Providing a consistently high standard of customer care to patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Complying with all food safety policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Supporting manual handling tasks, including deliveries and function setups.

Requirements

  • Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • A positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a customer‑focused approach.
