We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Orthogeriatrician to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team at Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH).

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in the care of older patients with orthopaedic trauma, providing comprehensive geriatric assessment and management from admission through to discharge. You will work closely with colleagues in orthopaedics, anaesthetics, surgery, therapy services, and discharge planning to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

This is a full-time, 12 months fixed term Mat leave  consultant post , created to enhance our orthogeriatric services in response to increasing demand and to help us deliver best-practice care in line with the British Orthopaedic Association Standards for Trauma (BOAST) and the National Hip Fracture Database (NHFD).

What we’re looking for:
•    A dedicated and enthusiastic GMC-registered physician with CCT in Geriatric Medicine and General Internal Medicine (or within 6 months of completion at time of interview)
•    A passion for orthogeriatrics, frailty care, and improving outcomes for older trauma patients
•    Strong team-working and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care
•    A commitment to service development, clinical leadership, and education.
