This is a new 12 month Fixed Term post required to expand the current Hepatology services in the Slough area.

The new Slough Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) is a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide high-quality diagnostic services to the local community.

With an investment of £25 million, the CDC is equipped with the latest technology, including MRI and CT scanners, and offers up to 150,000 extra tests per year.

Located centrally in Slough, the CDC aims to reduce health inequalities by making diagnostic care easily accessible to diverse communities.

By working here, you'll help patients avoid unnecessary hospital visits and contribute to improving health outcomes for conditions such as cancer and heart disease.

The centre is conveniently accessible by public transport and offers a supportive, innovative environment where your contributions will make a significant impact on community health.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The post holder will develop a Nurse led clinic to help improve early liver detection, namely related to alcohol related liver disease and metabolic dysfunction-associated Steatotic liver disease. 

Patients would have been referred by primary care. The post holder will be trained to undertake Fibroscans™ and subsequently run independent scanning clinics, requesting relevant further investigations if needed, attending multidisciplinary team meetings as required, and discharging patients with robust management plans when appropriate.
