Working for our organisation

Swansea Bay University Health Board is responsible for the health of around 390,000 people across Neath Port Talbot and Swansea. With a £1 billion budget and 12,500 staff, we are a University Health Board working closely with Swansea University, its School of Medicine, School of Health Science, and the Institute of Life Science. Our main hospitals include Morriston and Singleton in Swansea, and Neath Port Talbot Hospital in Baglan.

Mental Health and Learning Disabilities services are delivered both in hospitals—such as Cefn Coed Hospital in Swansea, Caswell Clinic, and Taith Newydd in Bridgend—and in community settings. We also operate community hospitals and primary care resource centres offering services outside our main hospitals.

The Health Board is a partner in ARCH (A Regional Collaboration for Health), working with Hywel Dda UHB and Swansea University to enhance the wellbeing and economy of Southwest Wales.
