Qualifications

Essential criteria

Registered Mental Health Nurse/ Registered Learning Disability Nurse (as appropriate) or equivalent relevant professional qualification
Mentorship Qualification
If applicable to service Non Medical Prescriber
Relevant Clinical Training and post graduate Qualification

Desirable criteria

Formal clinical supervision qualification.
Qualification in Family Interventions

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria

Knowledge & Experience of the Recovery Model.
Proven track record of providing professional leadership within clinical services.
MDT working.
Clinical supervision and Application. Adherence to Health and Safety policies.
Casework Management.
Facilitation of Personal Development Planning in others.
Experience of CBU based Model of Care Provision.
Experience of working within a multi- disciplinary team using the CBU based approach.

Desirable criteria

Working with First episode Psychosis
Worked in a leadership role
Has been responsible for providing effective clinical supervision

Has an understanding of the service and evidence based treatment packages

Desirable criteria

Be able to demonstrate clinical excellence in relation to clinical reasoning and decision making when managing complex cases.

Remote developmental histories and child observations (via video calls)
Peer MDT diagnostic decision-making, with the support of the senior clinical MDT where required
Tech-enabled outcome report writing
Outcome calls with parents and families (via video call)

As a Senior Assessor, you have the opportunity to focus on delivering direct care. Furthermore, if you have the relevant experience and skills, you can take on an additional responsibility. We limit this to one responsibility to allow for focused time on that topic, rather than having your time stretched too thinly. When taking on an additional responsibility, your case volume is reduced, making time available for this focused time.

For Senior Assessors, additional responsibility options include supporting more complex cases, ensuring quality assurance, providing training, facilitating family engagement, and contributing to pathway development.
