We currently have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our catering team. We have a part time 22.5 hr contract available. This role will primarily be based within the catering department at St Nicholas Hospital in Gosforth however the successful candidates may also be required to cover at our other central sites when necessary (Walkergate Park Hospital and The Centre for Ageing & Vitality).

Wednesday – 9.30am -17.30pm

Thursday – 7am -15.00pm

Friday 9.30am -17.30pm

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role will include. The provision of catering services to patients, staff and visitors.

·          Food preparation & packing in a chilled environment

·          Cooking food in a hospital ward environment

·         Cleaning tasks, washing pans, equipment, floors, etc. This may include the use of machinery.

    Please note successful candidates will also be required to work in a freezer environment (approx. -22*C).
