As a Trust we are committed in making a difference. Your development is important to us, so don't forget to ask us during interview what opportunities we can offer. We can offer fully funded lifelong learning opportunities such as an apprenticeship from GCSE to Masters level.

If you like the sound of that, then come and join our team.

Job overview

Sussex CAMHS is at the beginning of a crucial and innovative expansion, which will see a substantial amount of growth in a variety of teams across East & West Sussex.

As part of this expansion we have funding to develop our Neurodevelopmental pathway across Sussex Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and the Trust regards this as an opportune moment to develop the functioning of the team, and the overall service model for the whole of the Neurodevelopmental care pathway provided by Sussex CAMHS.

We are seeking to recruit to a newly developed Neurodevelopmental Specialist Grade post, to work on the Sussex-wide Neurodevelopment pathway across Sussex CAMHS. You will have the opportunity to choose your base for this role, at either Hastings or Hailsham.

Please note this post attracts a Golden Hello payment of up to £5,000 as well as a Relocation Package of up to £8000. Information on these can be obtained from the Medical Staffing Team on 0300 304 0393.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity to play an integral part in prioritising the delivery of a safe, effective and caring service to those children and young people, and their families/carers, who have or are suspected of having neurodevelopmental disorders.

The service we provide is in line with NICE Evidenced Based Assessment and Treatment for those children and young people with or suspected of a Neurodevelopmental condition. You will provide high quality specialist clinical assessments, including relevant psychiatric and physical investigation to children, young people and their families in a range of settings, and work collaboratively with other members of the team to plan and deliver appropriate individually tailored treatment plans.

You will work alongside other Specialists, Consultants and Specialty Doctors in Sussex ChYPS and our supportive multidisciplinary team includes nurses, psychologists and mental health practitioners.
