AGH Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and provides Estates, Facilities, and Procurement services for the Trust. We are looking for an Estates CAD Technician to join our team.

We are looking for a highly motivated and professional individual capable of working well within our current Estates team who can liaise with the client to produce and keep up to date accurate site as fitted drawings & plans. The role will also incorporate general office duties as required.

A CAD Technician performs a wide variety of drafting duties that utilise Computer-Aided Design/Drafting (CAD) in developing engineering, graphical, architectural and drafting designs.

A CAD Technician prepares preliminary drafts of projects, determines its feasibility, applications, and generates accurate and detailed records of engineering data. The technician will always be expected to exercise extensive judgment and initiative in the executing his responsibilities.

We are seeking an individual with the experience and qualifications stated in the essential criteria within the person specification.

Main duties of the job

• Drafting operations for the determination of project plans and collects data for Project designs.
• Preparing complex drawings for Engineering Projects
• Developing and drafting engineering drawings and plans, drafts contract documents and generates correspondence for clients and managers
• Maintaining dynamic communication with contractors, clients, engineers and the general public for any architectural, engineering or construction issues
• Performing fieldwork, documentation, research and drafting tasks of engineering data as requested by clients or managers
• Performing regular computer software and AutoCAD maintenance, upgrading and troubleshooting
• Maintaining up to date working and technical knowledge of all procedural and improvement changes to computer hardware and software applications
