Service.
The post holders will provide a proactive, comprehensive administration service which will include handling telephone enquiries, covering
reception and data entry, as well as general office duties which will include processing mail, scanning and typing.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of this role is to provide a professional and supportive admin provision within a busy Specialist Adult Service so high-level customer care skills are crucial to the success of this role. You will work alongside an experienced Admin Assistant to learn the role and the post holder should have:
· Experience of providing reception duties.
· Experience of call handling in a busy environment.
· Good organisational skills.
· Be able to prioritise a fluctuating workload.
· Proven experience of working with Microsoft packages.
· A working knowledge of electronic record systems.
· Excellent customer care.

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good general level of education up to Level 1 standard in English Language and Maths.
- Intermediate (Level 2) Typing/Word processing qualification and/or relevant demonstrable experience e.g. 12 months experience.
Desirable criteria
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent experience
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Able to input data accurately and efficiently.
- Undertake repetitive tasks whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, face-to-face and non-facing customers.
- Demonstrates good customer care skills at all times.
- Good working knowledge of office procedures.
- Good organisational and planning skills using own initiative.
