Job overview
This is to recruit 2 full time Consultant Rheumatologists to join a Dorset-wide Rheumatology team. These posts will be based at Christchurch and Dorset County Hospital and the successful candidate will work in partnership with our substantive consultant team in Poole and Dorset County Hospitals. Together we deliver a full range of Rheumatology services to Dorset residents and parts of neighbouring counties from 3 well-resourced units at Christchurch Hospital, Poole Hospital and Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester.
The successful candidate will be joining a team of specialty consultants at a very exciting time as the Department expands following the merger of Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals (RBCH) and Poole Hospital (PGH) to become University Hospitals Dorset (UHD) and the extension of this to cover Dorset County Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The main purpose of the post is to support the provision of highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement. The Appointees will undertake clinics at Christchurch hospital and at Dorset county. This will also include acute ward management at Bournemouth Hospital.

- Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register for Rheumatology
