Main duties of the job
This is a new post and the appointee will join a team of Gastroenterologists. The team currently consists of 8 permanent and 1 long-term locum Consultant. The Gastroenterology team has responsibility for both inpatient and outpatient care. The appointee will take part in the on-call rota for the Upper GI bleed (1 in 8). The Gastroenterology team does not do GIM at DVH.
We are seeking to appoint a Consultant in Gastroenterology with broad expertise in the management of general gastroenterological conditions. Skills in advanced endoscopy, including Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), would be considered advantageous.
