An opportunity has arisen in our Resourcing and Recruitment Team for a Senior Resourcing and Recruitment Coordinator to join us in recruiting high calibre candidates into key Agenda for Change roles across our Trust. Our Resourcing and Recruitment Team play a key part in keeping our Trust running.

Our in-house team manage the full recruitment cycle from advert to offer. You will be joining a large team with mixed experience at an exciting time of change. We are looking for someone who is organised, process driven, has attention to detail with  great IT and  communication skills.  Previous recruitment experience is not a necessity but would be a great advantage.

We are a fun and friendly team, committed to delivering outstanding service to hiring managers so they can focus on caring for our patients.

Whilst the successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high level customer service to all applicants, this post requires the successful candidate to be willing to provide additional support to our volunteers as and when required. 

This position will not be supported for visa sponsorship.  All applicants are expected to have valid right to work document to work in the UK when applying for this position.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Resourcing and Recruitment Officer you will be providing support for the full end to end recruitment process. You will be supporting hiring managers to prepare advertisements and set up interviews. You will also be responsible for overseeing the pre-employment checks processes while providing excellent customer service to applicants and hiring managers. 

You will be part of a busy team which prides itself on providing a high calibre service with an attention to detail and maintaining compliance to policy and legislative requirements. 

You would ideally have a patient and caring nature, willing to go above and beyond to support applicants to overcome any barriers throughout the recruitment process.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Support Resourcing and Recruitment Manager to ensure quality of processes and procedures

Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and systems

Support the Head of Resourcing and Recruitment to deliver the department’s operational and strategic objectives

Ensure candidate centric, proactive and robust resourcing and recruitment

Working closely with wards/departments, to ensure compliance and delivery of the resourcing, recruitment and retention agenda

Provide support to candidates with recruitment and compliance checks

First point of contact for all forms of communication in managing candidate’s recruitment

Provide a holistic and bespoke approach to candidates, aligned with Divisions

Work closely with Head of Resourcing and Recruitment, Resourcing and Recruitment Manager, HRBP and Hiring Managers

Work with other departments to ensure DGT is an employer of choice by recruiting high quality candidates

Provide a full recruitment administration and clerical support service to Trust staff

Ensure provision of an efficient and effective recruitment service in line with recruitment policies and procedures

Ensure that quality standards are met at all stages of the recruitment and selection process

Person specification

Education and Training

Essential criteria
  • Good standard of education, including a minimum of GCSE’s, or equivalent, in Math’s and English
Desirable criteria
  • A-Levels or equivalent

Knowledge and Skills

Essential criteria
  • Extensive IT skills.
  • Knowledge of Human resources systems and e-Recruitment systems
  • Excellent knowledge of MS software including Word, Excel and outlook, with the ability to create reports and spreadsheets
  • Highly developed organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills, including experience of communicating in multi-cultural environments often dealing with intricate and sensitive issues
  • Knowledge and understanding of employment law, Immigration processes and regulations, and DBS checks
  • Ability to prioritise own workload, responding to changing demands
  • Knowledge of fair, best practice and developing trends in relation to effective recruitment methods
Desirable criteria
  • Understanding of NHS terms and conditions of employment
  • Knowledge of ESR, TRAC and NHS jobs

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience working extensively with IT systems and spreadsheets
  • Experience of working in a busy customer focused environment delivering to KPIs and deadlines

  • NHS recruitment experience
