We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

The successful candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for delivering a comprehensive and efficient service, for the Reception / Control Room on a day to day basis. 

 

The candidate will be responsible for the delivery of security services through the operation of Access Control, CCTV, X-ray and radio communications

 

 

This post is exempt from the Sex Discrimination Act 7(2) by reasons of decency or privacy as it is likely to involve physical contact with women in the circumstances where they might reasonably object to its being carried out by a member of the opposite sex.

 

Main duties of the job

Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent communication and observation skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.  Knowledge and experience of search procedures, visitor management systems, CCTV, customer service, computerised records would be useful, but not essential.

  • Educated to secondary school standards

  • Knowledge/experience of working in a service that is a support service where security is of a major importance.

  • Good communication skills, with the ability to maintain a positive approach under pressure
  • To be able to act with appropriate initiative and sensitivity - with full regard to confidentiality - under a wide variety of circumstances.
