Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist inpatient and community mental health, learning disabilities, addiction and acquired brain injury services for the people of Liverpool, Sefton and Kirkby, Merseyside. We also provide community physical health services in Liverpool, Sefton, secure mental health services for the North West of England, the West Midlands and Wales and specialist learning disability services across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside.

We work closely with service users, carers and partner organisations; we have been able to make real improvements to our diverse range of services, from health and social care, right through to high secure provision. Nurse Associate – Band 4 (Primary Health Care Services)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Nursing Associate to join a small team of Nurses providing Physical Health Care to patients with Mental Health problems within a Secure setting.

The post holder will be competent in performing venepuncture / ECG’s and delivering smoking cessation advice or have experience in working within a Secure setting. The post holders will also be expected to carry out gender specific rub down patient searches in line with security procedures and chaperone for intimate and clinical examinations by Health professionals.

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to their work. In addition, you will undertake training to perform certain tasks and show a genuine interest in the well-being of our patients and the quality of our service.
