THIS POST IS FIXED TERM UNTIL 31ST MARCH 2022 TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Speech & Language Therapist to join our Covid Rehabilitation Hub in Cwm Taf Morgannwg. The Hub is a developing service designed to provide comprehensive multi-disciplinary support for those experiencing Post-Covid syndrome. This is delivered virtually in the form of advice and education, and support with self-management at the moment, with opportunities to develop to deliver virtual and physical support groups.
The post holder will provide specialist support and intervention for individuals experiencing swallowing, voice and communication difficulties as a result of the Covid-19 virus. The post holder will also be expected to engage with training to provide basic support around other post-covid syndrome symptoms.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to be part of the response to this emerging health need, and to work with a like-minded passionate and highly skilled multi-disciplinary team.
You will also have good clinical support from the wider SLT team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg and will be able to refer your patients for instrumental dysphagia assessment (VFS and FEES) as needed.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
