COVID-19 Vacancy Band 5 Pharmacy Technician - HMP Bristol

Band 5

In this role you’ll be working within our strong Medicines Management team to help safely supply and administer medicines to patients. You’ll also help deliver minor ailments services, serve as a key point of advice to patients in regards to medicines management, help manage the prison’s medicine supplies, and help with medicines reconciliation and supporting patients with their prescription pathways.

Through all of this, you’ll serve as a vital point of contact for patients in HMP Bristol – you’ll empower the prison’s population to understand their medicines better and critically manage their own self-care in regards to their long-term health.

This isn’t a job for everyone. You’ll need to be non-judgemental, resilient, and dedicated. In return you’ll be rewarded through being part of a wider healthcare team that delivers care beyond health - in helping educate your patients to make better life choices, in turn reducing the likelihood of reoffending. This is a real opportunity to gain unique experience and to develop your Pharmacy career to the next level.
