Job overview
An exciting opportunity is now available to join Specialised Surgery Care Group as a Quality and Safety Facilitator.
Working closely with the Directorate Teams and Divisional Governance Manager the successful candidate will support the Specialised Surgery Group in the co-ordination and delivery of governance and quality across Trauma & Orthopaedics, Spinal Surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Major Trauma to implement the Trust's Governance and Quality agenda, including the Trust Risk Management and Assurance Strategy.
To support the delivery of a robust governance and quality framework which ensure that systems for learning and improvement are in place, effective and monitored.
Main duties of the job
To be a point of contact for the Directorate providing Governance and Quality support and advice when required.
To support with developing systems and processes to monitor and improve outcomes in line with the Quality and Governance Agenda.
To support the Service Line Management structure to ensure that Governance and Quality are fully integrated into the Directorate objectives

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Previous experience of Clinical Governance processes in a Healthcare setting is advantageous for this role.

- Diploma/Degree or ability to demonstrate equivalent experience
knowledge, skills & Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of using and managing systems such are DATIX, Sharepoint and Excel
- Experience in the field of quality, safety & Compliance within a Healthcare setting
- Involvement with investigations and action planning in Healthcare
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel; with the ability to manipulate data and produce in a graphical format.
- Experience of supporting and contributing to meetings and agenda
Desirable criteria
- Good understanding of wider Clinical Governance agenda
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
