This post offers an excellent on-the-job training opportunity in our customer focused, proactive Supplies and Procurement Department which is responsible for purchasing a comprehensive range of goods and services and delivering an enhanced materials management services to wards and theatres.
Main duties of the job
This role entails a range of supply chain duties that encompasses, delivery and distribution of goods using electric towing tugs, raising orders, stock receipting, stock delivery, stock management and stock replenishment. The post involves the use of computerised ordering systems and Microsoft Office Applications e.g. Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
Candidates should have good interpersonal and customer service skills, a good standard of written and verbal English, good organisational skills and be able to work as an effective team member together with a flexible and self-motivated approach to work.

Education & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Experience/knowledge to competently use Microsoft Office systems including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- 3 GCSE grades of C or above
- Good standard of general edducation
Desirable criteria
- NVQII in procurement or warehousing
- CIPS qualified
Experience

- Experience of stock control & stock control systems
- Experience in general warehousing duties
- Ability to prioritise workload in response to service need
- Experience of handling customer telephone queries
- Experience of using purchase to pay to pay (P2P) systems

- Experience of receiving, checking and receipting stock
