Admin Support Volunteer to Children’s Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Team

Volunteers undertake a variety of roles that enhance services to patients provided by paid staff and assist the NHS in improving and developing services. Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust is looking to recruit further volunteers to join our dedicated team.

If you are interested in supporting our Children’s SLT team with your organisational skills, people skills and communication skills, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

Our Volunteers need to be…

·         Understanding rather than judgemental about a patient’s situation or circumstances

·         Respectful of a patient’s individuality, respect different cultural values and work in a non-discriminatory manner

·         Able to listen to and communicate with patients, carers and staff

·         Flexibility to do the hours that suit you between from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, Mon to Friday. All we ask for is that you commit to at least 3 hours a week for a minimum of 6 months.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Previous experience of working with others in an administrative role is desirable but not essential, as full training and support will be given to successful applicants. What’s important is that you possess the qualities outlined in the attached Role Description and can demonstrate CWPT values.
