Job overview
A new role within the experienced Pharmacy team at HMP Styal. Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician willing to develop into an Accredited Accuracy Checking Technician. This full time (Mon- Fri) role will involve managing the daily running of the dispensary and staff.
Main duties of the job
As a Band 4 Pharmacy Technician you will be responsible for the daily running of the main dispensary on a daily basis. To report to the Senior Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacists.

Education and training
Essential criteria
- BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences Professional registration with GPhC (or competent to complete)
Desirable criteria
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- At least 3 years post-qualification experience of working in community/hospital pharmacy.
- Experience of supervising a technical pharmacy area or service.
- Experience of change optimisation.
- Experience of participating in clinical research or undertaking clinical audit
- Familiar with utilising prescribing data. Knowledge of medicines optimisation issues
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a prison environment or similar setting.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
